Dr. Deborah Smith, an Award Winning Denver Fertility Doctor & Colorado Reproductive Endocrinologist
For over 25 years Dr. Smith and her dedicated team have been helping couples realize their dream of having a child. Dr. Deborah Smith is one of the most experienced board certified infertility doctors in Colorado and South Dakota with 25 years’ experience as a fertility expert. Dr. Smith and her team offers patients a combination of excellent clinical expertise, strong research experience and warm personal care.

She is Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist. Dr. Smith takes pride in offering comprehensive fertility care employing all types of fertility treatments including the advanced reproductive technologies (IVF, ICSI, PGD).
Dr. Smith is native of New York City and attended New York Medical College. After completion of medical school she was accepted to the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Ob/Gyn residency training program. During residency she received a prestigious national award for her laparoscopic skills.
After completing a 4 year Ob/Gyn residency she joined the University of Connecticut, Department of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and completed a 3 year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. After her fellowship training, Dr. Smith has held academic appointments at Creighton University, The University of Nebraska, The University of Texas and The University of Colorado. Her academic and scientific background, plus her empathetic approach is a winning combination, much appreciated by her patients.

Melanie Bullock , RN BSN
Donor Oocyte and Gestational Carrier Nurse Coordinator
Melanie is the Nurse Coordinator for Rocky Mountain Fertility Center’s Egg Donor recipient and Gestational Carrier patients. RMFC’s Nursing and Clinical Coordination Team plays an integral role in assisting you through your entire treatment. As a RMFC patient, you cannot help but notice Mel’s genuine concern and personal commitment to providing you with excellent care.
Melanie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Colorado. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the same school. She has been in the field of Reproductive Medicine as an infertility nurse for over 10 years. Melanie will help coordinate care for general infertility, IVF, and the donor – recipient patients. Along with her years of experience, Melanie brings the emotional support and understanding necessary to provide state of the art fertility care.
Angela Koranteng , RN BSN
IVF Nurse Coordinator / Reproductive Medicine Nurse Coordinator
Angela Koranteng, RN plays an integral role in assisting you throughout your entire IVF cycle. Patients frequently comment on the compassionate and supportive care Angela has provided during their experience with us. Angela will be in constant communication with you throughout your treatment and assist you with your daily lab results, scheduling your visits, as well as giving you individual, one-on-one instruction for your medications.
Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The Denver School of Nursing. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston. A native of Massachusetts, she has 7 years of experience in health care. Fertility is the perfect balance for her as she is equipped to support you both physically and emotionally through your fertility journey.
Heather McGuire, RN, BSN
IVF and IUI Nurse Coordinator
Heather is the IVF and IUI Nurse Coordinator for our non-local infertility patients. Patients have come to Rocky Mountain Fertility Center for treatment from over 30 states in the US, Europe, Africa and South America and Heather helps coordinate their care. As a RMFC patient, you cannot help but notice Heather’s positive energy and excitement brought to the team to provide you with excellent care. Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler. A native of Texas, she has 5 years’ experience in women’s health and high risk obstetrics.
Melisa Meier, RN
IUI / TDI nurse coordinator
Melisa is the IUI / TDI nurse coordinator at Rocky Mountain Fertility Center and will help guide you through your IUI / TDI journey both physically and emotionally. She will be there to discuss lab results, ultrasound findings, educate you on medications, and answer any questions that you may have during your course of treatment. She truly understands that this is a new process for you and your partner, and will be there every step of the way.
Melisa received her Associates of Science Degree in Nursing & Minor in Health Psychology from the University of South Dakota in 2005 and has been working in the field of women’s healthcare ever since. She is currently working towards her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing through Walden University. In order to stay current in new and upcoming changes in women’s healthcare, Melisa holds several certifications and belongs to professional organizations such as A.N.A. (American Nurse’s Association) and AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.)
Nancy Smith, CNA, CPT
Nancy Smith is our Infertility Coordinator at the Rocky Mountain Fertility Center. Nancy received her cPT and CNA license from ccCNA in Sandy Utah. With 15 years of experience she has worked with patients in various capacities to include Patient Care Coordinator, Staffing Coordinator, Phlebotomist, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Nancy has been part of our team since 2015. Nancy is known for her compassionate approach with her patients and takes delight in assisting each couple in achieving their dream for a family.
Ashlie Keown, Manager
Ashlie Keown is our Office and Billing Manager and she has over 25 years’ experience in the medical field. She graduated in 2010 with her Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Management. She sees each patient as an extension of her own family and enjoys building relationships with her coworkers. Has been part of the Rocky Mountain Fertility team since December 2014.
Ashley Geka, Embryologist
Ashley Geka is an Embryologist at Rocky Mountain Fertility Center. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology – Emphasis in Molecular Genetics with Minors in both Chemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Wisconsin- Platteville. Ashley has experience with PGS genetic testing, statistical analysis, andrology, and embryology.
William Gallegos, MLT
William “Bill” Gallegos is the director of the Andrology Lab at Rocky Mountain Fertility Lab.
He is a certified medical technologist with over 10 years’ experience in the laboratory, and over 10 years’ experience performing semen analysis procedures. He has performed over 10, 000 semen analysis and sperm wash procedures.
Bill has trained several lab personnel at local fertility clinics in the techniques used in andrology. In his free time Bill is an expert gardener (often giving RMFC staff advice on how to save our plants!) or you can find him working on his “Hot Rod”.
Lisa Dorman, PhD
Assistant Director of the Embryology and Andrology Laboratory
Dr. Dorman’s career spans over 18 years. During that time she has held positions as a Microbiologist, Embryologist, and Andrologist. She is a “hands-on” Embryologist fully trained in all aspects of Assisted Reproductive Technology including Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Assisted Zona Hatching (AZH), embryo biopsy for Preimplantation genetic diagnosis, egg freezing and embryo vitrification. Lisa Dorman Ph.D. is the Assistant Laboratory Director at Rocky Mountain Fertility Center. Dr. Dorman joined Rocky Mountain Fertility Center in 2013. She is a native of Arkansas and obtained an AS in Medical Laboratory Technology from Mississippi Delta Community College, a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and a MS and Ph.D. in Clinical Health Science from University of Mississippi Medical Center.
