Why INVOcell Is Your Best and Cheapest Option for Successful IVF

Why INVOcell Is Your Best and Cheapest Option for Successful IVF

The first human birth credited to in vitro fertilization (IVF) occurred in 1978. IVF has since become a highly effective solution for couples struggling with infertility.

INVOcell® is a revolutionary type of infertility treatment that simplifies the IVF process by using the mother’s body rather than a lab to fertilize eggs and incubate embryos, in an Invocell device.

Infertility Specialist and Reproductive Endocrinologist Dr. Deborah Smith at Rocky Mountain Fertility Center in Parker, Colorado, explains why she and her team offer INVOcell as an effective, more affordable, and increasingly popular alternative to traditional IVF.

What is INVOcell, and how does it differ from traditional IVF?

Traditional IVF involves hormonal stimulation of the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, which we then retrieve and fertilize in a lab. After fertilization, the embryos are incubated for a 5 days before we transfer one or more back to the uterus.

INVOcell is a small intravaginal device that provides a suitable environment for fertilization and early embryo development. The egg retrieval and sperm collection process is similar during an INVOcell procedure, but we place the eggs and sperm inside the INVOcell device, which we then insert into a female patient’s vagina.

Thus, fertilization and early embryo development occur inside the device within your body rather than in a lab. After a few days, we remove the device and transfer the healthiest embryo(s) back into the uterus.

Why is INVOcell cheaper than traditional IVF?

Traditional IVF requires a sophisticated lab and highly trained personnel to ensure successful fertilization and embryo development. The Invocell devices save Thousands on the cost of supplies, and labor.

INVOcell eliminates lab expenses related to fertilization and incubation since the woman’s body does all the incubating portion. Every case is different, but INVOcell may reduce your overall costs by as much as 50%.

We understand the costly nature of infertility treatments.  That is why Rocky Mountain Fertility offers affordable package prices for patients that have no fertility insurance benefits. We’re always happy to manage expenses wherever possible while providing the highest quality services. INVOcell may be the solution for your infertility.

What are the benefits of INVOcell besides reduced cost?

INVOcell may not be suitable for everyone. Dr. Smith bases her recommendations for treatment according to your infertility evaluation.

Should you be a candidate for INVOcell, it offers several benefits. For instance, early research shows INVOcell’s success rates are comparable to traditional IVF. But some studies suggest it may provide better outcomes in certain cases due to the more natural intravaginal conditions.

Additionally, since it's possible to culture fewer embryos at once with this technique, only one or two high-quality embryos are typically transferred back to the uterus, lowering the risk of multiple pregnancies and related complications.

INVOcell may provide increased accessibility to fertility treatments thanks to its lower cost and simpler treatment techniques. Many couples also prefer it because they feel more connected to the process.
